5. Calculator, Formula and Data Limitations

For example, FFMI calculations require an estimate of body-fat percentage. Body-fat methods can vary substantially, and fat-free mass includes water, glycogen, organs, bone and other non-fat tissues in addition to skeletal muscle. A calculator output therefore should not be treated as a direct laboratory measurement of muscle mass.
Similarly, calorie, training-volume, protein, leucine, progression and body-weight planning tools rely on assumptions that may not match an individual user. Even where an article cites peer-reviewed research, scientific findings describe groups and probabilities and may not predict your individual response.
Use calculator results as estimates. You are responsible for deciding whether an output is appropriate to use and whether professional review is needed before acting on it.
6. Your Responsibilities
